Gifted and Talented

Wewoka Public School is providing enrichment activities to students who qualify for Gifted and Talented. High School Math Instructor Jenny Davidson goes into each building to work with kids on actiivities that engage young minds. She has been giving them a weekly challenge to accomplish through criticl thinking and STEM components. We appreciate all she has brought to our students this school year!

Wewoka Tigers Ranked #4 in Class A

Your Wewoka Tigers have performed exceptionally this school year! Even through the COVID-19 situation, we have persevered through all obstacles. The Tigers coached by Eric Bradley, Cody Payne, Dustin Beasley, Winston Jackson, and Ellis Bruner are 7 - 0 on the season! They head to Stroud on Friday October 30th with kickoff set for 7:00 PM! Tiny Tiger Cheer

The Wewoka Varsity Cheerleaders will be hosting Tiny Tiger Cheer Clinic on October 12th through 15th. They will perform at halftime of our Homecoming game versus Liberty. Wewoka Tigers

The 2020 - 2021 Wewoka Tigers our off to a hot start! They have began the year 4 - 0 (1 - 0 District) and look to continue their success as they take on Okemah on Friday October 9th. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM in Okemah! Masks are required for entry to the game.

All State Golf

Seniors Gavin Weatherly and McKenzie Nunley will be playing in the Oklahoma Golf Coaches Assocaition All State Tournament on Monday July 20th. This tournament will be hosted at Lincoln Park in OKC with CDC Social Distancing Guidelines in place. This will let these two finish their high school careers!

JAG Position (Jobs for America's Graduates)

Wewoka Public School District is proud to announce that Melissa Findley has been hired by the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability to be the full time JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) school liaison for our district. Her salary is paid for by a grant and Wewoka was one of six Oklahoma districts selected. Wewoka is the only rural school district selected to be a part of this program.
