Congratulations to Wewoka Middle School and High School for being awarded an Art Tech grant for this school year! The grant provides art supplies and a visiting artist that will work weekly with students. We are so excited about this project!

Meet our Teaching Artist! Virginia Sitzes will be on-site twice a week to facilitate art lessons for our 5th-12th graders.

Virginia is an award-winning printmaker, muralist and active arts advocate living in Oklahoma City. She is the founder and director of Sunny Dayz Mural Festival, co-founder of Oklahoma-based artist collective Art Group, an organizer of the Connect:Collect Print Exchange, a Teaching Artist for the OSDE’s Art Tech program, and has seasonally worked for the Oklahoma Arts Institute the past 5 years. She currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma Mural Syndicate and teaches workshops across various art spaces such as Oklahoma Contemporary and Flash Flood Print Studios.
